of pennsylvania and west virginia and a few sprinkles in those clouds out there. we really don't expect any event activity. you can see how there are fewer sprinkles at the end of the loop than the radar loop there. the clouds are essentially from frederick county westward. at the moment, ompe the city, we have clear skies. the moon is out. almost a full moon. it is a beautiful morning. warm this time of year. 73 at b.w.i. marshall. 77 at the inner harbor. 66% the humidity. all these readings are still high. we are still in that rather, warm humid air mass. 95 is the high yesterday at the airport, tying the record high for the date set back in 1970. so we didn't break it, but we tied it, and that's enough. the humidity is way up there, too, yesterday. yesterday's lows were 70 and 72. we were a couple degrees cooler than that. the low temperature today will be tonight, right before midnight. the temperatures will start dropping off. no rain yesterday. the record rainfall for this date, 1912, almost 6 inches of rain. we could use that, but rain is not in the immediate forecast. 79 at annapolis now.

watch out of virginia, all across north viiginia, parts of the eastern shore and then also central maryland including %-d.c., down towards annapolis l incluued in this as we have the potential of heavy rainfall right along the central portion -f the mid portion of theestate so we'reevery concerned as the potential is there to get some heavy amounts of raan. the potential is there with the prediction here. %-theetrack of the storm.wing we could see anywhere from three to four inches, sooe areas maybe five, six inches in some that coulddcause this localized flooding because the ground is already saturated from the couple inches we got the other day, and now we're pouring more water on top of that. taking a look at where the rain is now. it's very light over balad, d.c., west of us still some showers. looking to the south of us you can see some heavy rain there overrthe carollnas. this is all riding along a trough. -his trough is wrapping back in. we still have a tropical storm down to the south of us. this is nicole but there's low pressure system that's developing ahead of that st

county. petersburg. west virginia all back in the 50's. some cool air trying work it's way to the central part of the state and the northern and western should get into the foolish air but there will be clouds around in the morning and wide range from 55 up northwest and 65 around baltimore at the inner harbor and points on the to eastern shore and a mix of clouds and sun to start the day. this storm brought us lightest batch of rain. much needed rain, and the front is trying move off the coast but down to the south you see the front is stalling out and there's a tropical system south of cuba that will ride up that funnel and bring perhaps rain now here in the mid-atlantic region. a lot of showers up to key west and almost to miami. good activity across the florida coast. think this is all associated with the tropical storm. there's a bunch of tropical moisture and see circulation up in here where low pressure is trying to form. hurricane center thinks this depression with wind office 35 miles an hour will get stronger if the sustained winds reach 40 which looks to happen, it'll become tr

's moving almost due north from the carolinas into virginia and also along the lower eastern shore. let's change gears. i want to show you what's going on. you see a bit of a gap. now it's moderate to heavy rain, particularly in the eastern shore a band of heavy rain also to the west as you can see. as far as rainfall totals go the numbers are hum believably impressive. this band six to eight inches in some places, eight to 10 inches right along the central portion into eastern sections of harford harford. east of us a lot less. salisbury less than an inch. ocean city had almost nothing to this point, but probably see that change tonight. bernadette joins me with a look at the updated numbers and also dealing with the winds. bernadette? >>> over nine incheses of rain. annapolis. these have leveled off. with the new round coming in, these are going to come up. this has jumped over two inches in hagerstown and all of them will be rising. we have flash flood warnings in effect for the green counties and a tornado watch that's been pulled back, just these counties in this section. that's un

of the state bottom line eastern shore included in this as well as far western maryland northern virginia. along the immediate chesapeake bay these bluer shaded are also under a coastal flood advisory especially over the next couple approaching high tides in the overnight and first high tide on the day above average high tides. so that's the concern with the coastal low coming up out of the south. we're going to look for gust he winds tomorrow. not a lot of wind right now. in fact winds calm. temperatures 66. so cool evening, bjipartly clo and you really wouldn't think anything is up but it is. again it's going to take a couple more hours to get in here. just about a trace of an inch of rain most spots well south y& of baltimore nothing north of town. and again blue skies today quickly giving way to cloudy skies getting a little more ominous looking outs there late into the afternoon. as that storm makes its 8move. temperature wise 60s now humidity very high. air is almost saturated that's going to help fuel these showers and downpours as they come in overnight. satellite radar trend ch

degrees warmer than normal. we had 91 degrees at the airport. 92 in charleston, west virginia. 99 degrees in louisville, ky. a lot of that heat will hang around. we had this front trying to move through. all this warm, muggy air that is still in place will remain here for the next couple of days. fall started a couple of minutes ago. it will continue to feel like summer. partly cloudy. there is the front. md., began to dissipate, and yank its post-to the north. -- and gets pushed back to the north. maybe an isolated storm popping up tomorrow afternoon. most spots will stay dry and humid. things will cool off as another weak front makes its way across our region over the weekend break able take until sunday before temperatures drop back to normal levels. 85-90 tomorrow, a good deal of sunshine. waves are running about 1 foot. 80 in the mountains with some sunshine tomorrow. ocean city, just kind of a summary date. lisa is even weaker, barely discernible. that storm does not look like much of a threat. the next name on the list is matthew. 88 to borrow around baltimore and into the low 90's

in here this evening. some powerful thunderstorms in parts of central virginia. reports of hail an inch and a half in diameter -- those are some big storms. here is the line of storms we're keeping an eye out for the next couple of hours. at that, temperatures have warmed up into the '90s. 94 at richmond. 90 at charleston, west virginia. still 91 degrees in downtown baltimore. 94 degrees. then at the moisture. you can see the dew point level in the low seventies to our south and east. combined heat and moisture and a little weather disturbance and you get the thunderstorms for a few hours. storms will be eased us moving out and partly cloudy skies. watch for gusty thunderstorms with winds shifting to the northwest as a weak front goes by. overnight lows of 61. the front will get here and then all part. we get a chance for a shower at it. it will dissipate in our area tomorrow and the steady supply of hot and humid air will continue into thursday afternoon and friday. the first couple of days of fall will feel like midsummer. not much in the way of precipitation through friday afternoon.

front go through, as i mentioned. it's now settled across the central part of virginia, but there's no weather associated with this front. there's a nice area of high pressure coming in behind it, and it will produce a little bit of a breeze, but that's about it. as we head toward the middle of the week, we might see a little area of low pressure develop on wednesday, but for the next few days, it's going to be quiet. we did have the showers, as i mentioned before, but everything has dissipated now, and we expect a dry commute. we can see a little bit of cloud cover, especially in the southern suburb, but that's breaking up. we'll just call it a mix of sun and clouds. i'll show you the seven-day forecast in just a second. let me just give you the last update on igor. it passed over bermuda last night as a category one hurricane. it did produce some damage, but we're not seeing big reports of catastrophic conditions on the island. they got a big storm surge out of it, and now the storm is about 100 miles north of bermuda and pulling away into the open waters of the atlantic. so we
